The Horror Within, 8th-Level One Shot (5E - PDF)

I ran this last night for my group, tied it into my campaign as an introductory quest to a faction. It was fun and easy to run. The layout of your adventures is so easy to read through and play. I really enjoyed roleplaying the NPC's that were suffering from madness and when my PC's started to be affected they had a blast roleplaying that. Great fun was had all around!

The Arcane Library are incredible. This is a genius and honestly the best way to set up a DnD campaign. I have severe ADHD, but I was able to handle this so well. My players had so much fun, and were able to really get into the roleplay of the madness. I recommend The Arcane Library to everyone I can. Love you all!

I’ve never DMed anything before, always been a player, and in preparation for a larger campaign, wanted to dip my toes in with a one-shot. This campaign had the perfect blend of horror and mystery, along with some comedy my group always enjoys. The prep was easy, and everyone had a great time, the descriptions were the perfect jumping point for improv and custom descriptions, and helped me easily slide into the setting and roles needed, couldn’t recommend better!

Amazing story, great immersion. Excellent opportunity for seasoned DMs to build into a game or new DMs to run a guided one shot. We loved it!
My family elected for a one shot a couple weeks ago cause a player for our ongoing game was out. I had nothing lined up and had turned to Google for some ideas and maybe some pre-written stuff when I found The Arcane Library, and the The Horror Within. This was maybe 90 minutes before the game started. It was a quick read to get the understand the settings, get an idea of the story and tone, feel out the theme, and get the maps loaded to Roll20. It was easy to execute, fun to embellish as we played, and my players lived the horror theme.
